Reporting to the Senior Director of Paid Media in Australia, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Jellyfish’s Paid Search capability and driving outstanding results for our clients.
Job Description:
As Senior Paid Search Manager, you’ll lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimisation of Paid Search campaigns for a portfolio of full-service clients across Australia, supported by a hybrid team of local and offshore specialists. You’ll also contribute to Search strategy consulting engagements for our Google Marketing Platform (GMP) clients, helping them unlock the full potential of their search investment.
This is a hands‑on leadership role suited for someone who is deeply technical, highly analytical, and passionate about driving measurable business impact. You’ll bring a balance of client‑facing excellence, platform expertise, and people leadership — mentoring junior talent and championing innovation across the APAC Paid Search community. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the end‑to‑end strategy, planning, and delivery of Paid Search campaigns for a selection of 1–5 managed clients across Australia and APAC.
- Act as the key Paid Search contact for your clients, providing strategic counsel, performance insights, and data‑driven recommendations.
- Manage and mentor a small team of Paid Search specialists across Australia and offshore markets, ensuring high‑quality output and professional development.
- Drive channel innovation through advanced automation, audience strategies, and data integrations across Search Ads 360 (SA360) and Google Ads.
- Collaborate with cross‑channel teams (Paid Social, Programmatic, Analytics, etc.) to deliver integrated media strategies.
- Support consulting engagements for clients leveraging GMP technologies, providing expertise in Search and measurement best practices.
- Prepare and deliver engaging client presentations and performance reviews, communicating results and opportunities clearly.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and excellence of the APAC Paid Search capability by sharing best practices and training junior talent.
- Stay abreast of emerging search trends, new platform features, and automation opportunities to continually improve campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of experience managing Paid Search campaigns, ideally in a digital agency environment.
- Deep hands‑on expertise across Search Ads 360 (SA360) and Google Ads; additional experience with Microsoft Ads (Bing).
- Proven experience developing and executing high‑performing Search strategies for large or complex client portfolios.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in campaign performance analysis and data storytelling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence in client‑facing situations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or managing team members (local or offshore).
- Experience collaborating on integrated, multi‑channel campaigns with Paid Social, Programmatic, Analytics, or other Paid Media teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
