The Role:

Location: Salisbury South SA
Duration: 36-month full time Apprenticeship

As a Civil Construction Apprentice, you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects within the local council area.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

- Minor road reconstruction and asphalt laying
- Lay and repair stormwater pipes and drainage pits
- Operate major plant machinery – excavator, skid steer, roller and 3 tonne crane
- Operate minor plant equipment – grinders, quick cut saw and vibe plate
- Setup traffic management for construction activities

About You:

To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will:

- Be driven and have a positive attitude
- Enjoy working outdoors in a team-oriented environment
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Be physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual tasks
- Have strong verbal communication skills
- Be willing to learn and take initiative

Role Requirements:

- Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
- Previous labouring or industry experience (desirable)
