This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.We’re looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to join the Communications at Snap Inc**What You’ll Do*** Act as a trusted point of contact for journalists in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), providing timely and accurate information, as well as creative and strategic story ideas. Help educate reporters and ensure our products and services are well represented in local media.* Collaborate closely with our regional and global Communications teams to share local insights, coordinate campaigns, and develop impactful communications strategies.* Lead the agency relationship working in partnership with our local agency to develop and execute a strategic communications strategy in ANZ. Work with our agency to pitch stories, organise press briefings, craft press materials, and prepare spokespeople for interviews and public appearances.* Play a key role in driving our corporate, business and consumer/community communications narrative, balancing media relations support with project management responsibilities across functions.* Support inbound media enquiries regarding any relevant issues relating to our platform and assist in developing reactive messaging for press.* Work with other cross-functional teams (marketing, brand experience, policy) to develop integrated initiatives that drive brand awareness and education.* Support the planning, execution, and measurement of communications initiatives, including managing press materials, media assets, and campaign analytics.* Stay informed on industry trends, media developments, and competitor activities to help refine and evolve our communications approach.**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.* Solid understanding of the tech industry and the local ANZ media landscape.* Superb interpersonal skills and a willingness and aptitude to collaborate across functions. Proven ability to build relationships across teams, cultures, and time zones.* Organisational maturity and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.* Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a passion for learning through experimentation.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.* Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented.**Minimum Qualifications*** 4+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.**Preferred Qualifications*** Sound relationships across relevant media in Australia and New Zealand.* Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholders.* Confidence to work strategically while handling frequent inbound media inquiries and requests.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some ."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
