A leading Federal Government department is looking to for an experienced Project Manager to join a highly multidisciplinary team in providing information and statistics to promote better health and wellbeing. The successful Project Manager will be responsible in leading and managing deliver of projects from initiation through to closure under the department's project management framework. The Project Manager will be offered a 6-month initial contract with a possibility of a 6 month extension option, open to ACT.

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Managing projects including the delivery of outcomes and benefits, scope boundaries, schedules, quality and budgets
- Developing project documentation and reporting progress on delivery
- Overseeing procurements and tenders and managing contracts resulting from procurement
- Identifying and managing risks and overseeing the implementation of risk mitigation plans

The successful Project Manager will have experience in the following:

- Proven track record of 5+ years' experience in delivering ICT projects, leading multiple projects, to achieve business outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in creating fit-for-purpose project management documentation, templates and improving project management and governance practices
- Ability to communicate with influence both verbally and in writing with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and report on ICT strategic program plans
