Overview
The Department of Health is seeking qualified Allied Health Practitioners for CYMHS Youth Mental Health (530173) in the North of Tasmania.
We are seeking allied health professionals with experience in complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy within mental health or related sector.
The Allied Health Practitioner will provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families as part of an innovative multidisciplinary team.
The Role
Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment and individual therapies, including specialised treatment programs.
Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
Providing support and consultation to other team members as required.
Applicants with training in evidence‑based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, Family Therapy or ACT will be highly regarded.
Details of Appointment
Two permanent full‑time day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum with 12% superannuation contribution.
Professional Development Allowance up to $1,000 per annum.
Benefits: Travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas, up to $10,000 for interstate; Professional development; Study leave; Fitness Passport.

Essential Criteria
- Approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registration with the relevant national board or competent professional association
- Current Working with Children Registration
Desirable Criteria
- Minimum of two years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role
- Current Driver’s Licence
