The Team: The Podiatry team is based in the Northern Integrated Care Centre adjacent to the Launceston General Hospital (LGH). We service the central north and north east of Tasmania. Clinics are held in rural hospitals and community centres as well as in the LGH and ambulatory care clinics. We are a vibrant team, with a high risk foot service as well as Muscular skeletal podiatry and practice the full scope of podiatry. Opportunities exist to further grow your clinical practice in a supportive environment and be involved with our ongoing research project. The Role: - Provide a high standard of podiatric service to patients in the Northern District. - Work within a multidisciplinary team to build on community capacity for enhancing the health of individuals, groups and the community. - As a member of Podiatry North provide support to an integrated podiatry/foot health service You will need: - Extensive experience as a practicing Podiatrist, including proven experience in developing and delivering community based podiatry programs. - Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the principles and processes of primary health care, health promotion and community development. - Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, advocacy, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, including the ability to apply such skills within a multidisciplinary team environment. - A demonstrated ability to initiate and contribute to quality improvement programs and undertake research and evaluation projects. - Ability to coordinate and monitor podiatry services within a multidisciplinary team. - Competence in computer applications including the use of word processing, data bases and web based resources. Details of appointment: Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. - Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. - Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: - Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum Benefits available to eligible candidates: - Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. - Professional development and accelerated pathways. - A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support. - Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family.
