Aurizon is seeking qualified Locomotive Drivers to join our Berrimah depot in Darwin.

As a Locomotive Driver with Aurizon - Bulk Central, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating locomotives, ensuring the smooth transport of freight across our extensive rail network. You will work within a supportive, safety-conscious team, striving for operational excellence and maintaining the highest service standards.

About the Role:

- Operation of locomotives, including mainline, shunting, and marshalling.
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
- Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of on-time running.
- Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
- Provide high-quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives.

About You:

- Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon’s safety strategy “I Know Safe, I Choose Safe.”
- Availability to work a 24/7 shift roster.
- Experience working with ARTC Code of Practice & Safe Working systems (SA, WA) is advantageous.
- Experience operating air brake.
- Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
- A Certificate IV in Rail Operations.

The ability to successfully pass pre-employment checks such as driving history checks, reference checks, and a CAT 1 Rail medical is required for these roles. Please note, these positions are not FIFO/DIDO.
