An inclusive and highly respected child development centre in Cairns is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join their team.

The Team & Workplace:

The allied health team consists of 10+ professionals, including OTs, speech pathologists, and early childhood educators. The environment is purposefully designed to be child-friendly and supportive of staff wellbeing. This is a team that celebrates wins together and genuinely supports each other in challenging cases and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children with sensory, motor, and cognitive needs.
- Implement individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing daily functioning.
- Collaborate with families and educators to support generalisation of therapy outcomes.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
- Document and report in line with professional and NDIS standards.

What You’ll Need:

- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Full registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in paediatric therapy (new grads also encouraged to apply).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and commitment to ethical, client-centred care.
- OTs on visa 417 seeking regional work are welcome to apply.

Desirable Experience:

- NDIS experience highly regarded.
- Familiarity with sensory integration, play-based therapy, or school-based support.
