The Newton Corner The Chef will oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality meals. This position requires a hands-on professional who can manage menu planning, food preparation and kitchen workflow, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and presentation. Ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.   Task & responsibilities Planning and developing menus based on seasonal produce and customer preferences. Estimating food and labour costs and coordinating ordering of food supplies. Monitoring quality and presentation standards throughout all stages of preparation and service. Discussing food preparation requirements with management and relevant staff. Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance on food preparation procedures. Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with company standards. Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Implementing proper food storage, freezing and preservation procedures. Assisting with the selection and training of kitchen staff, where required. Qualification & experience 1–2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen.
