Overview
Teacher - Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) at Byford Secondary College, an Independent Public School in the South Metropolitan Education Region. This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026. Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,016 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023).
Note: This position is part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Byford Secondary College (SC) is a newer school in Perth’s southern suburbs with first-class facilities to support high-quality teaching and learning. The college caters for 1500 students in Years 7–12 and offers a blend of urban and rural student cohorts, providing a vibrant school community.

The Role
Byford SC is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) teacher to join our team. The successful applicant should have a sound understanding of the West Australian HASS curriculum and, ideally, the knowledge and experience to teach Senior School including an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) course of study. The applicant should be an active contributor to the HASS Learning Area and use high-impact learning strategies to engage students. The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high- and low-achieving students is highly regarded.
