Our Murdoch branch provides high quality service in areas such as General X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Bone Densitometry, FNA Biopsy, Doppler and Interventional Radiology to a well-established base of referrers and both inpatients and outpatients.

About the role

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure, in particular assisting in the MRI department. The majority of your work will be clinical with a small amount of administrative duties. Some of your many and varied duties will include:

- Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures and patient transfers
- Assisting the Technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients (intravenous cannulation) and patient process
- Acting as a chaperone during Ultrasound examinations when required
- Cleaning procedure rooms including change of linen
- Stock control
- Administrative duties as required

This role is Part Time, working 60 hours per fortnight currently worked as Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day. Your flexibility is key as start and finish times will be variable, operation hours are during and outside of standard business hours for some of our modalities such as MRI. There is a requirement to pick up additional shifts on the Friday for leave coverage as needed.

Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role and an active interest in Medical Imaging will be highly regarded.

Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
