Overview Nurse Educator (Mental Health Transition to Practice Program) Location: Perth Children's Hospital, Nedlands Unit/Division: Child and Adolescent Health Service > Nursing Education Work Type: Permanent – Part Time (15.2 hours per fortnight, 0.2 FTE) CRVCID No. 705241 PositionProfile: We are seeking an experienced person to join our Nursing Education team located at Perth Children’s Hospital. This position is a specialist nursing education role supporting early‑career nurses participating in the Transition to Practice Program - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Stream. The position holder influences the practice and education of nurses and undergraduate nursing students, both within and external to the health service. Areas of accountability include leadership, program development, policy development, curriculum and competency development. Organisation context The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, and the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS comprises four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). CAHS employs over 6,500 staff delivering services at PCH, King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), and a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
