Job Description

About Role: The Clinical Facilitator supervises and supports students during clinical placements, ensuring quality workplace-based learning that meets industry, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

The role contributes to student success and retention by creating a safe, supportive, and industry-relevant learning environment.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Nurse Educator leads academic delivery in the Diploma of Nursing program, guiding student learning, assessing assignments, and collaborating with students, support staff, and educators.

Your role may include:

- Supervising and mentoring students during clinical placements, providing coaching, feedback, and ensuring adherence to professional, ethical, and safety standards.
- Delivering and facilitating clinical training, supporting diverse student needs, and maintaining accurate placement documentation.
- Monitoring student progress, providing timely feedback, and escalating concerns to the Course Coordinator.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and engaging in professional development and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborating with educators, clinical sites, and IHNA staff to deliver quality placement experiences and contribute to student engagement and retention.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualification:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Nursing
- Minimum 2-years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Maintaining vocational currency and providing evidence to Human Resources throughout employment.

Required checks:

- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one
- Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one
