Overview

Senior Organisational Development Partner (12 month contract)

As Senior Organisational Development (OD) Partner, you will report to the Head of Organisational Development & Learning in a specialist team of four, working closely with four Senior People Partners in our Sydney office. The role is a combination of strategic and operational so you will need to be comfortable pivoting between the two. This is an exciting time to join APRA as we invest further in culture and capability initiatives under the strategic leadership of a new Chief People Officer.

You will partner with Executives, Leaders and Managers to develop enterprise-wide people and culture programs that address both current and future organisational requirements. Responsibilities include designing and implementing comprehensive OD initiatives that support APRA’s corporate objectives and advance our desired culture and workforce, such as reviewing and refreshing the leadership capability framework to shift and embed desired behaviours. Building credibility with executives and leaders quickly will be key to your success in this role to coach them on how to set and monitor performance expectations to drive a coaching and feedback culture.

Key responsibilities

- Partner with executive management and key stakeholders to develop comprehensive people and culture initiatives at the enterprise level;

- Design and implement OD programs that address APRA’s diverse needs while proactively anticipating future workforce requirements aligned to strategic objectives;

- Embed effective talent management practices across all levels;

- Drive cultural transformation initiatives to support organisational growth and employee engagement;

- Collaborate with stakeholders to create and deliver targeted initiatives that promote continuous development and engagement of teams and individuals; and

- Ensure all organisational development solutions are aligned with APRA’s strategic direction, reinforce APRA’s values, and contribute to achieving the corporate plan.

About you

- Comprehensive experience within financial services, professional services or consulting firms preferable;

- Extensive experience in the design, delivery and measurement of organisational development initiatives, including experience in cultural transformation, performance frameworks and contemporary talent management strategy and practice;

- Proven record of coaching and influencing senior leaders and teams;

- Expertise in behavioural facilitation, consulting, and performance coaching;

- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills;

- Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills;

- Advanced use of organisational and individual diagnostic tools;

- Ability to analyse data for informed decision-making; and

- Project and change management proficiency.

To work with us, you must be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
