Job Summary

5AAB PTY LTD is a leading transport company dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and reliable freight services. We are looking for an experienced and driven Transport Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our transport division. This is a key role within our company, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with regulations, and the delivery of excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily management and operation of the transport fleet.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including WHS, fatigue management, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).

- Develop and implement strategies to optimise transport routes, improve fleet utilisation, and reduce costs.

- Lead and manage a team of drivers, providing training, guidance, and performance management.

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, fuel efficiency, and vehicle maintenance.

- Ensure high standards of safety and risk management are maintained across all operations.

- Work closely with the logistics team to optimise schedules and ensure timely deliveries.

- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

- Resolve operational issues, including delays, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns.

- Manage the transport department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining service standards.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven experience in transport or logistics management, preferably within the freight or heavy vehicle sector.

- Strong knowledge of transport compliance, safety standards, and industry regulations.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
