Are you a seasoned Senior Contracts Administrator or newly appointed Commercial Manager looking to take the next step in your career? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented professional to step into a Commercial Manager role, working on major infrastructure and resource sector projects.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, you’ll be responsible for managing a broad range of contract and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in supporting project delivery, managing contractual risks, and ensuring commercial outcomes align with business and client expectations.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in contract administration across the resources or construction/infrastructure sectors and a desire to develop into a more strategic and leadership-focused position.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the administration of head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements across multiple active projects.

- Provide accurate and timely contractual advice to project teams and stakeholders.

- Lead the assessment, negotiation, and resolution of contract variations, claims, and extensions of time.

- Support procurement processes and subcontractor engagement in alignment with project requirements.

- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and key deliverables.

- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.

- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal advisors, and delivery partners.

- Contribute to commercial reporting, cost forecasting, and performance tracking.

Key Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is essential.

- 5–8 years’ experience in contract administration, with recent experience at a senior level.

- Proven experience working on major resources, infrastructure, or construction projects in Australia.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a willingness to grow and take on increased responsibility.

- Ability to travel to site offices throughout Australia when required
