REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

You are required to have a current Australian recognized AINDT or PCN certification with a minimum of MT,PT & UT Level 2 Qualifications with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Good knowledge of offshore rig equipment, structural welds ,pressure vessel and have good understanding of Australian standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The NDT Technician is responsible for conducting non-destructive testing on materials, ensuring adherence to workplace policies and confidentiality. Operating and maintaining equipment, documenting results, and prioritizing safety are key aspects of the role. The technician collaborates with the team, troubleshoots issues, communicates with clientele, and stays updated on industry standards to contribute to accurate material assessments while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

POSITION DUTIES

- Ensure calibration of all NDT equipment before use.
- Perform routine process control tests and periodic calibrations according to documented specifications and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of all tests performed in accordance with relevant specifications and procedures.
- Prepare Work Forms and Inspection Reports within the scope of the classification.
- Comply with the requirements of the company's quality system and relevant industry standards.
- Perform other duties reasonably expected of an NDT Technician.
- Provide feedback to clients regarding inspections and respond to other reasonable requests.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS

- Must have a current Australian recognised AINDT or PCN certification with a minimum of MT, PT,UT,EC, Level 2 Qualifications.
- All NDT methods will be considered, but UT, ET & RT are of special interest.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally to complete jobs at client sites is essential.
- Good understanding of standards, reports, and requirements of NATA.
- Willingness to follow company policy and procedures, especially safety is required.
- Computer literate - technical report writing.
- Honesty, reliability & integrity.
- Excellent English communication.
- Work as part of a team without supervision is expected.
- Australian drivers license - Manual C - Class.
