ASCOLTA EARLY LEARNING AND CARE

We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Child Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will support children’s daily routines and educational activities, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and development through play-based learning and guided behaviour practices.

Task & responsibilities

- Assist in preparing materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities.

- Conduct and support indoor and outdoor activities to foster learning and development.

- Supervise and engage children during play, rest, and hygiene routines.

- Entertain and stimulate children’s learning by reading, storytelling, and interactive games.

- Promote and guide positive behaviour and social development.

- Observe and report children's development and wellbeing to educators and families.

Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive environment in compliance with NQF and service policies

Qualification & experience

- Minimum Diploma level qualification, or minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience.

- Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a formal childcare setting.

- Sound understanding of child development, safety practices, and behaviour guidance.

- Current Working with Children Check and valid First Aid Certificate.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
