Additionally, the position is key in embedding the Agency’s “Future Minded” employee value proposition throughout all stages of talent acquisition and early careers programs, supporting organisational culture, diversity, and ongoing strategic workforce goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Associate, Talent Acquisition will lead and execute the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle for roles across the Agency, targeting both experienced and early‑career talent within investment and non‑investment business units. This includes developing and implementing innovative and targeted sourcing strategies (e.g., leveraging LinkedIn Recruiter, sector‑specific boards, and talent pools), partnering closely with hiring managers to define roles and apply consistent selection criteria, and embedding structured, data‑driven assessment methods. The role also administers recruitment logistics, ensures accurate and compliant candidate records in Workday, manages the onboarding processes, and supports the pipelining of talent for hard‑to‑fill positions—all to secure high‑quality and diverse hires aligned with the Agency’s mission and organisational culture.
Additionally, the Senior Associate manages early careers talent attraction—including developing university and professional organisation partnerships, running assessment centres, and coordinating early‑career recruitment campaigns—and supports strategic initiatives like employer branding and diversity programs. The position tracks and reports on recruitment metrics (e.g., time‑to‑fill, candidate source effectiveness, and diversity of hiring pipelines), ensures compliance with APS merit protection and audit requirements, contributes to continuous improvement of talent policies, and actively embeds the Agency’s “Future Minded” employee value proposition across all candidate touchpoints in partnership with People, Culture & Inclusion colleagues.
About You
We’re seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition professional, ideally with a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business or Psychology and demonstrable experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle across varied roles, from initial briefings with leaders, direct sourcing of candidates to end‑to‑end onboarding. Some experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating early career programs, building partnerships with educational institutions, and using best practices in candidate assessment and onboarding is desirable.
Strong advisory skills, including partnering with leaders on diverse talent needs and maintaining compliance with policies and employment legislation, are essential. The role demands proven capability in leveraging recruitment technology (such as LinkedIn Recruiter) analysing recruitment data to drive continuous improvement and applying core employer branding principles to develop effective Employee Value Proposition (EVP) artefacts. High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, a proactive approach to diversity and inclusion, adaptability, and attention to detail are also key requirements, along with a collaborative working style within and across functional teams.
Please note the position is open to Australian Citizens.
