About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing events at the Mildura Sporting Precinct to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. Also supports the promotion and coordination of facility bookings, with a focus on increasing usage and identifying business opportunities, especially during off-peak times.

What you will bring

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

- Formal tertiary qualification in events management or a business-related discipline and / or significant experience in events management or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of a range of software packages including Microsoft office suite.
- High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders on the telephone and face to face.
- Good knowledge of the local community.
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one within two months of commencement in the role.
- Hold a current satisfactory Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
- Current Driver’s Licence.

Salary and Conditions

The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $39.34 per hour, plus statutory superannuation.
