About the role
The primary purpose of the Project Officer - VMFRP, is to support VMFRP and Parks Victoria in meeting their delivery commitments for environmental water infrastructure projects across the Northwest Region. The role will be responsible for:
- Reviewing Technical Reference Group (TRG) project chapters
- Specialist technical assessments
- Native vegetation offsets and management frameworks
- Key stakeholder engagement and communications
- Inter-agency agency access and authorisation agreements
- Support on-ground-contingency planning and inductions
- Support final sign off post construction
About us
The region consists of a diverse range of parks and reserves. Staff working within the Region are responsible for providing efficient and effective implementation of a broad range of often complex park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor management and services, stakeholder management, park planning and emergency response.
We're looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical problem solving.
- Previous stakeholder (internal and external) management experience required.
- Ability to provide expert and technical advice and support.
- Experience in working with internal and external partners to develop solutions.
