Salary Package: Up to $280,000 depending on experience

Position Summary The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the Estimating Department, ensuring competitive tendering, cost control, and achieving financial targets.

This role involves strategic business development, mentoring staff, and maintaining key relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategies for competitive tender procurement aligned with company goals.
- Mentor and train estimating staff in accurate take-offs, pricing, and strategic subcontractor alliances.
- Oversee the use of estimating software (e.g., Precision) to streamline tender processes and project handovers.
- Ensure adherence to ethical tendering practices, including subcontractor communication and pre-tender meetings.
- Maintain and update databases for conceptual and hard bids, ensuring timely client deliverables.
- Collaborate with operations and business development to optimize cost accounting and project timelines.
- Track job costs, unit production, and profitability to maximize project outcomes.
- Build and sustain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Tertiary degree in building management, quantity surveying, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in estimating with a strong acumen in residential estimating. (Will consider commercial tier 1,2 and 3).
- High rise experience Advantageous
- Proficiency in BuildSoft, EstimateOne, or similar software.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial acumen.

- Timely tender submissions and schedule updates.
- Efficient resource management and documentation.
- Compliance with core values and mentorship initiatives.
