Applications are invited from skilled accounting professionals for a unique and newly created role within our Finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this key and dual-focussed role is anticipated to back-fill key finance personnel on an as-needed basis in the lead up to and during the upcoming Oracle ERP implementation. The role will also identify, design and implement process efficiencies and policies and take a lead role in the Oracle implementation activity.
As a back fill – this role will support processing of journals, tax reporting, and other accounting duties as required keeping the work varied and generally quite hands‑on.
In terms of process optimisation – this role will identify, design and implement process efficiencies including manual development of schedules and development of supporting procedures and policies.
As the ideal candidate for this unique role, you’ll present with:
- Substantial experience in a similar role, managing medium/ large business ERP systems.
- Proven experience in ERP implementation and management with hands‑on experience leading full‑cycle ERP implementations, upgrades or migrations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
- In‑depth knowledge of business processes across departments with comprehensive understanding of core business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Manufacturing and Sales, and how they interact within an ERP system.
- A flair for aligning ERP systems with strategic goals to improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, change management, and post‑implementation support.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional projects and teams, manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- A flexible, can‑do and roll‑your‑sleeves up approach to doing what needs to be done to keep the finance engine room moving
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
Whilst applications must be made online, confidential enquiries are welcome and may be directed to Cathy Riach, People Lead - Talent Acquisition (clriach@qinetiq.com.au).
