About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Client Services Officer to join our Occupational Licensing team within Consumer and Business Services (CBS). As a Senior Client Services Officer, within the Occupational Licensing team, you will be providing an essential service to South Australians seeking to lodge, renew or obtain information on their occupational license. CBS issues and regulates licenses for a broad range of professions including trades, security, real estate and many others. Each customer interaction will be an opportunity for you to apply your problem-solving skills and excellent customer service ability to resolve at times sensitive enquiries. This role involves working in a team environment that is fast-paced and requires daily rostered phone shifts.
We want to hear from you if you are:
- Effective in providing high-quality customer support in a considerate and timely manner via telephone, face to face, emails and other forms of communication.
- Able to efficiently handle large workloads with competing demands and priorities.
- Competent in handling complaints in a considerate manner.
- Able to use initiative and judgment to ensure customers receive appropriate advice and solutions.
- Experienced in the interpretation and administration of legislation.
- Experienced in comprehensively assessing the merits of applications and providing recommendations or decisions as appropriate.
About the Business
The Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) provides a range of legal, regulatory and other services for the government and people of South Australia. Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is a division of the Attorney-General’s Department and is responsible for protecting consumers, supporting and regulating businesses and recording significant life events for South Australians. CBS is customer focused and flexible in its activities, providing accessible information and services.
CBS constitutes a large part of South Australia’s business/consumer regulatory system and is the regulator for many businesses and professions.

Special Conditions for Employment
