Task & Responsibilities

- Fault Detection and Diagnosis: Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and vehicle parts using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Component Maintenance: Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, inspecting parts for wear and damage, and checking functionality.
- Repairs and Replacements: Repairing or replacing worn or defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
- Routine Maintenance Services: Conducting oil changes, engine tune-ups, lubrications, and other scheduled maintenance tasks to optimize vehicle performance and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Engine and Component Reassembly: Reassembling engines and components after repair, ensuring proper installation and alignment.
- Performance Testing and Adjustments: Testing and adjusting mechanical systems post-repair to guarantee optimal performance.
- Computer-Assisted Diagnostics: Using computerized equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze vehicle performance issues.
- Vehicle Inspections and Certification: Inspecting vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or outlining necessary repairs for roadworthiness compliance.
- Compliance with Safety Standards: Ensuring all tasks meet occupational safety regulations and manufacturer standards.

Qualification & Experience

- At least one to two years of relevant experience in the automotive repair industry.
- Formal qualifications in automotive technology are preferred but may be substituted with relevant experience.
- Licensing or registration (where required) to practice as a motor mechanic in Australia.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a commitment to team collaboration and customer satisfaction.
- A passion for the automotive industry and dedication to delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
