Position Information
Parramatta West Public School is a vibrant, growing school community with over 930 students and three inclusive education classes (Mult Categorical). Over 90% of our student body come from non‑English speaking backgrounds, and 82% require varying levels of EAL/D support. Our diverse student population also represents a wide range of socio‑economic backgrounds.
Our dedicated staff bring a wealth of experience, from early‑career educators to seasoned professionals with many years of teaching experience. Together, we are committed to providing high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of every student. This includes a robust range of academic, creative, and extracurricular activities—dance, music, sport, debating, drama, and STEM programmes designed to foster students’ talents and passions.
At Parramatta West Public School, we believe in challenging and engaging every student to strive for their personal best each day. Our students are hard‑working, caring, confident, and resilient learners who actively engage with their education. Guided by data and evidence‑based practice, our innovative teaching staff create dynamic learning environments that incorporate the latest technology and contemporary teaching methods.
Our school’s physical environment is bright, welcoming, and designed to support continuous improvement. We emphasize collaboration with families and the local community to ensure that every student maximizes their potential across all areas of their lives.
In 2025, the school will be organised into 37 mainstream classes and three inclusive education classes. The Assistant Principal Special Education will establish routines for the inclusive education classes, teach one of the three classes, lead and supervise the inclusive education class teaching and support staff, and oversee all aspects of teaching and learning for the students in the three classes. The role is a part of the school leadership team, along with the Principal, Deputy Principal, Assistant Principals for Curriculum and Instruction, and four other Assistant Principals.
