Job Description
- Oversee the full spectrum of financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team within the accounting and finance department.
- Analyse financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise financial processes and controls.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports for senior management.
- Manage cash flow and ensure the organisation's financial stability.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Analyst should have:
- Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Analyse financial performance and variances against budgets and historical data.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards with key financial metrics.
- Monitor sales, gross margins, and profitability across regions, channels, and categories.
- Assess financial impact of promotions, discounts, and pricing strategies.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive commercial improvements.
- Analyse operational expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels, turnover, and shrinkage to meet financial targets.
- Collaborate with supply chain and merchandising teams to manage working capital.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decisions.
- Contribute to business cases, ROI analysis, and project evaluations.
- Build and maintain financial models and reports using Excel, SAP, Power BI, or Tableau.
