The Role

The Brisbane newsroom is looking for an experienced and energetic Producer to join the team to generate and deliver stories for local and national audiences.

You will deliver high-quality, original, and engaging daily content that keeps ABC News Online’s Queensland edition fresh, relevant, and compelling.

The Job

- Produce and edit accurate, engaging digital content across text, photo, audio, and video.
- Collaborate with TV, radio, and editorial teams to deliver strong metro and state coverage.
- Generate diverse story ideas and participate in editorial planning.
- Stay informed on current events, media trends, and emerging digital platforms.
- Support team members and carry out additional editorial tasks as required.

About You

You/'re an experienced Digital Producer, with experience in news, social media and online content.

You/'ll also be able to demonstrate:

- Fast, accurate sub‑editor with strong writing and editing standards.
- Team player with broad news knowledge and audience focus.
- Detail‑oriented, efficient, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in multimedia production and creating diverse, authentic stories.
