Live locally in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night or FIFO from Cairns or Townsville (other locations in QLD will also be considered). This roster is a 5/2 - 4/3 and a 9 hour day, inclusive of 1 work from home day.

About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent - People & Culture, this role is responsible for collaborating with Ernest Henry (EHO) leaders to address worker needs, advance short-term strategies, and promote a productive workplace. They work with the P&C team to accomplish operational objectives, coach leaders to improve team performance, and offer knowledgeable policy guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting leaders in addressing workforce needs, implementing P&C practices, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
- Providing expert guidance on policy interpretation, processes, and best practices, while coaching frontline leaders.
- Collaborating with the P&C team to support the delivery of business plans, goals, and targets.
- Partnering with leaders at Ernest Henry to implement Evolution's P&C strategies.
- Developing tailored P&C initiatives for EHO, ensuring alignment with industry trends and strategic goals.
- Providing strategic advice on performance management processes, including crafting role descriptions and setting KPIs.
- Navigating Industrial Relations matters, including policy interpretation, enterprise agreements, and employee relations activities.
- Contributing insights and analysis to the P&C monthly report and assist in preparing the P&C budget for EHO.
- Upholding Evolution's values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect while complying with all company policies and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
About You
The ideal applicant is a people-oriented professional who excels at establishing connections and working together at all organisational levels. To be successful, you will bring: a minimum of two years’ experience in an HR Business Partnering/Advising role in the Mining Industry; tertiary qualifications in HR or IR/ER (undergraduate or postgraduate); exposure to and understanding of enterprise agreements and their application; strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, the National Employment Standards; demonstrated experience facilitating performance management, talent and succession processes; the ability to collate and interpret people data and coordinate reporting; experience providing coaching and support to leaders; exposure to job benchmarking; and experience supporting annual salary review activities.
