The Opportunity

The Manager Air Quality (Science) leads and manages the Air Quality Science team within the Air Quality Branch. You will deliver high-quality scientific assessments, investigations and advice on air quality issues across Western Australia, including the design, implementation and evaluation of air quality studies, data analysis, dispersion modelling, and preparation of technical reports to inform environmental policy, regulatory decisions, and community awareness.

You will provide scientific leadership, mentoring and capability building for staff, and collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies, industry and the community. The role supports the Department’s regulatory, compliance, investigation, and emergency response functions in relation to air quality matters.
