What You’ll Do:
As a key member of the Family & Friends Team, you’ll play an integral role in assessing and supporting kinship carers who provide safe, stable homes for children unable to live with their birth families. You’ll work across a range of complex cases, completing statutory assessments and offering vital guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct viability assessments to determine the suitability of potential kinship carers.
- Complete Special Guardianship Order (SGO) and Regulation 24 fostering assessments.
- Offer tailored support to Special Guardianship carers, including ASGSF assessments and SGO reviews.
- Collaborate with teams across the Children Looked After, Child in Need, and Care Experience services.
- Maintain high standards of child-centred practice and work within a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated care plans.
