Mechanical Fitter Brisbane

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, we are looking for mechanical fitters across a variety of shifts. You will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance across the site, including the servicing and repair of bulk storage, production, processing, blow molding and packaging areas covering the entire manufacturing process and all main facilities associated with a major dairy manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

- Perform mechanical work to ensure all plant remains in good working order.

- Ensure mechanical maintenance functions including breakdown, preventative and project works are completed efficiently while maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.

- All work to be completed in line with food safety requirements.

- Partake in Preventative Maintenance program to achieve world‑class machine and line efficiency.

- Investigate failures and provide recommendations to reduce risk of occurrence.

- Work unsupervised on shift and make decisions to promote efficiency.

- Complete all documentation to meet compliance and operational standards.

About you

- Relevant tertiary level qualification; minimum Trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter.

- Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

- Knowledge of GMP within FMCG field.

- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office desirable.
