Mechanical Fitter

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Fitter who is local to Brisbane and can start as soon as possible.

Main Duties

- Mechanical fitting tasks associated with commissioning and decommissioning of bulk storage tanks.

- Flange management tasks: installing and removing mechanical isolations, setting up and packing up temporary transfer lines and pumps for inter‑tank transfers within the refinery’s tank farm.

- Hydro‑testing of pipelines, valves, heat exchangers and bulk storage tanks.

About You

- Australian recognised trade qualification.

- Highly motivated and energetic, able to work with minimal supervision.

- Ability to work a varied number of hours per week, specific to client requirements.

- Construction induction card.

- Safe Work at Heights (valid within the last 3 years) – desirable.

- Confined space ticket (valid within the last 2 years) – desirable.

- HRWL – EWP / Forklift – desirable.

- Valid driver’s licence.

- Proof of right to work in Australia.

- The ability to work within a team.

- Be physically fit and capable of completing manual tasks – the role may involve manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling.

- High safety and quality standards.

- Excellent communication and time management skills.

- Ability to complete a pre‑employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test – mandatory.
