About the role
Working in Melbourne’s East, this role will see the successful candidate working Fulltime, Monday to Friday roster whilst completing a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
What you will be doing
- General maintaining of parks and Sports fields
- Mowing Lawns
- Trimming Hedges
- Pruning Trees and Shrubs
- Planting new trees
- Mulching Gardens
- Watering and weeding
- Using hand tools and power equipment such as lawn mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows
- Assisting with landscaping projects that may include planting new garden beds or laying turf
What we are looking for
- Must enjoy working outdoors
- A team player
- Motivation to learn about horticulture and from experienced team members
- Ability to take direction and take on feedback
- Show initiative, reliability, and a genuine interest in horticulture and community service
- Current Driver license and reliable transportation
- Working With Children's Check
- Successfully pass a Police Check
