Product Lifecycle Manager: Switching Devices & Applications
At Siemens, we’re transforming the way energy is transmitted, distributed, and controlled. Our Overhead Medium Voltage Systems (OMVS) business in Yatala is the global centre of competence for intelligent protection solutions for medium voltage distribution networks.
Your Role
As Product Lifecycle Manager (Switching Devices & Applications), you’ll own the lifecycle of Siemens’ family of overhead medium voltage switching devices – from concept through to end‑of‑life. You’ll bridge engineering, business and customer needs to deliver products that drive market growth and customer success.
What You’ll Do
- Lead product lifecycle management for OMVS switching devices
- Define product requirements and collaborate with R&D on new developments
- Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to guide strategy
- Plan and execute product launches and market introductions
- Work closely with the Connectivity & Ecosystem PLM to ensure portfolio integration
- Engage with customers and regional partners to gather feedback and strengthen value propositions
- Provide internal training and sales enablement tools to support global teams
- Monitor product performance, drive continuous improvement and manage phase‑out activities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in the medium voltage switchgear or related industry
- Strong technical knowledge of medium voltage systems (preferably overhead)
- Proven experience across all product lifecycle phases
- Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset, practical approach and results‑oriented attitude
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
