North Queensland Fresh Pty Ltd is looking for experienced and reliable Fitters to join their team at their fresh produce packing shed in Gumlu, QLD.

About the Role:
Fitters will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery and equipment used in fresh produce packing. This hands-on role includes mechanical maintenance, fabrication, general grounds work, and supporting food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Service and repair packing shed machinery and equipment

- Monitor water treatment and chemical dosing systems

- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks

- Operate forklifts and assist in operator training

- Carry out general site maintenance such as mowing, fencing, and pest control

- Maintain accurate records and follow WHS and hygiene procedures

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience

- Relevant trade qualification

- Skills in welding, fabrication, and mechanical systems

- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals

- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)

- QLD driver's licence (or willingness to obtain)

- Chemical Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
