Job Title: APS 6 Knowledge Management Officer
">The Department of Defence of Australia is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Officer to support the implementation of various activities associated with Defence's Health Research Governance framework.
">This role will provide administrative, governance and business-as-usual support. The position requires an understanding of the standards that guide research conduct, including the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the National Statement on the Ethical Conduct of Human Research.
">The successful candidate will be accountable for managing the Defence Health Research inbox, workflow through the Defence Human Research Management System, and making independent decisions related to research processes.
">This includes interpreting and responding to research inquiries related to governance, performing procedural, clerical and administrative support work to achieve results. The candidate will engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to ensure research is conducted in accordance with health research governance processes.
">The role also involves secretariat support for the Defence Health Research Steering Group.
">About our Team:
">The Directorate is responsible for strategic Defence health research, including health research governance, provision of support to health research initiatives, and health research dissemination and translation.
">The team identifies and manages strategic health research priorities and engages with internal and external research partners to undertake health research design, delivery and support to Joint Health Command.
">Directorate responsibilities include conducting, commissioning and facilitating health research, including quantitative and qualitative research, data management, analysis and reporting.

- Experience with administrative tasks and maintaining databases, information systems and records in accordance with information management policies.">
- Experience engaging positively with stakeholders, managing requests and queries with professionalism.">
- Experience interpreting and complying with relevant health research governance requirements, including relevant legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures.">
- Able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, including ability to collaborate with a range of professionals and actively support the work area and team objectives.">
- Experience providing secretariat services to high-level committees/steering groups.">
