Coordination and Support Officer Full-time Temporary Details: The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) plays a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the ACT Government. As a key policy and advisory body, CMTEDD supports the Chief Minister and Cabinet in delivering effective governance, economic development, and public service leadership across the Territory. Within CMTEDD, the Policy and Cabinet Division (PCD) provides high-level policy advice and coordination across the ACT Public Service. It supports Cabinet processes, intergovernmental relations, and strategic initiatives, ensuring that government priorities are effectively implemented and communicated. The Cabinet, Assembly and Government Business Branch (CAGB) is responsible for the operational coordination of Cabinet and Legislative Assembly business. It ensures the timely and accurate preparation, distribution, and tracking of government documents, and supports directorates in navigating Cabinet and Assembly procedures. The Coordination and Support Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the passage of material through Cabinet and the Assembly. This position involves liaising with stakeholders across government, managing documentation workflows, and contributing to the smooth operation of government business. Eligibility/Other requirements: - Experience in coordinating government or executive-level documentation and workflows. - Familiarity with Cabinet, Assembly, or Ministerial procedures, or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge. - Proficiency in electronic document management systems such as TRIM (HPE Content Manager). - Currently hold or ability to obtain baseline (or higher) security clearance is desirable. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 10 September 2026 with the possibility of extension. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection method:Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW).
