About the Role

As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring service runs smoothly while supporting the development of junior team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service delivery

- Leading and supervising kitchen staff during service

- Maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation across all offerings

- Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and hygiene standards

- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and cost management

- Contributing to menu execution and continuous improvement initiatives

- Acting as the Head Chef’s second-in-command when required

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both skill and maturity to the kitchen.

You will have:

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- A calm, organised approach under pressure

- Solid understanding of food safety and WHS requirements

- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights and weekends

- A genuine team-first mindset
