An experienced vet nurse is required to join the team at a fantastic, well-established 5-vet practice in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ paid experience and excellent communication skills.

The successful applicant will join a large team of nurses. There are usually 3-4 vets and 5 nurses working each day, as well as a kennel hand.

Overseas nurses on a working holiday visa who are interested in locum work are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship is considered for overseas nurses who can start on a Working Holiday Visa.

Applicants must be competent with inserting IV catheters, taking bloods and setting up fluids.

This position has the flexibility to be full or part-time. A full-time position would see you working 5 days a week and 1:4 Saturdays. Shifts will rotate through medicine, surgery and reception.

Continuing education is supported and encouraged in this practice.

The practice has a lovely clientele and sees an interesting and varied caseload. It is very well-equipped, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house pathology, dental machine, endoscope and ECG.

The clinic is in a beautiful location in an affluent eastern suburb just minutes from the beach. It is a family-friendly area with good public transport links. Sydney’s harbour and beaches are within easy access, and there is a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy on your days off
