About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Construction Manager to lead the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across the ACT. You’ll be responsible for managing crews, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. This role is key to keeping our projects on track and our people safe.
Key Responsibilities include
- Lead and manage field crews and subcontractors across multiple sites, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while fostering a positive and productive team environment. This includes leading site supervisors and crew leaders to ensure their teams consistently meet safety, quality, and performance expectations
- Champion safety and complianceby conducting regular site audits, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring all activities align with internal and client safety procedures and legislative requirements
- Oversee project planning and delivery, profit and loss management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and meet contractual obligations
- Build and maintain strong working relationshipswith clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support smooth project execution and resolve issues proactively
- Review and approve scopes of work and quotes, ensuring accuracy, alignment with project goals, and compliance with financial and operational standards
- Monitor and manage plant, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal utilisation, maintenance, and availability to support uninterrupted project delivery
- Drive continuous improvementby identifying opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and team performance, and implementing practical solutions that add value to the business
About You
You’re an experienced leader with a strong electrical background and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. You know how to guide teams, manage budgets, and keep projects moving—while building strong relationships along the way. You will also bring the following:
- A trade qualification in electrical or related field, as well as at least 5 years’ experience in the electrical industry (essential)
- Proven leadership experience managing crews and contractors
- Strong financial oversight and project management skills
- Solid understanding of safety standards and compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across ACT
