About our Service
Since 2006, Holy Spirit Outside School Hours Care has been an integral part of the Holy Spirit Parish and school community. We provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment for up to 135 students from Prep to Year 6, offering before and after school care, along with vacation care programs. Our well-rounded program blends structured learning with plenty of play, helping children not only learn—but truly thrive.
We are looking for a qualified educator for an Assistant Coordinator role at Holy Spirit Outside School Hours Care based in Bray Park.
This is a Permanent, Part-time position working 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday (split shifts). In this role, you/'ll support the coordinator and have a great opportunity to grow your leadership skills and take the next step in your career.
You will be assisting the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service such as:
- Program planning, delivery, and documentation
- Staff rostering and supervision
- Administration and financial management tasks (e.g. fee collection)
- Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
- Participate in professional and personal development
- Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Children Services/Early Childcare or ACECQA equivalent
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
- Experience in the education and care of children
- Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
- Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
