Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking a VCE Humanities Teacher to join our Secondary team. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience teaching Legal Studies, Economics, Accounting, and/or Business Management. You will create rich learning experiences that connect global perspectives to real-life contexts, equipping students to see beyond themselves and serve others. Your role will be both academic and pastoral, investing in the personal growth, wellbeing, and character of each student in your care. This role commences in January 2026 and is offered with an FTE of 0.6, with the possibility of additional classes or responsibilities for candidates seeking a larger load.

Responsibilities and Teaching Area

The successful applicant must:

- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)

- Be able to teach Humanities

- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills

- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement

- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education

- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities

Graduate Teacher Program

Our Graduate Teacher Program includes time release, mentoring, equipping for Christian Education and a comprehensive induction program that will help to develop the skills and competencies needed to become an effective classroom practitioner.
