SECONDARY TEACHER (DRAMA)

Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

The Wantirna South Campus is seeking a part-time Secondary Drama Teacher and Coordinator to commence in January 2026. This is a fixed term (Parental Leave Replacement) contract until the end of Term 4, 2026. This role is currently offered at 0.6 FTE, with the possibility of additional classes or responsibilities for candidates seeking a larger load.

Responsibilities

- Inspire and teach Drama to students in Year 7 to 12.
- Adopt the administrative and leadership responsibilities as the Drama Coordinator, with oversight and development of the Secondary Drama Program.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Be able to teach Drama.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities.
- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
