Our Disability Support Workers supportparticipants in carrying out their daily functions in a manner that promotesindependence while enabling them to achieve their personal goals. We create adventureand reduce barriers to support individuals in the community.

WE REALLY LISTEN

We support choice, decision making and acknowledgedifferent communication styles by individually matching the right participantwith the right support worker.

In your role you will need to:

- Bring positive energy to support participants to achieve theirdesired goals and to be actively engaged in their home and community life.
- Use empathy and patience to understand the participant’s needsand ensure their overall wellbeing.
- Administer medication and treatments according to the relevantsupport plan.
- Demonstrate dignity and respect for aspects of personal careand ensure that the participant’s personal hygiene and appearance ismaintained at an acceptable level, appropriate to their age and chosenactivity while engaging in activities in the community.
- Communicate and engage with participants in a relevant andmeaningful way while encouraging the participant to communicate and engagewith others.
- Transport participants travelling to and from activities andoutings using your own vehicle and/or Crosslinks modified pool vehicles.
