Deliver financial impact at pace — inspiring your team to perform, progress, and deliver outstanding results for an iconic consumer brand.
Our client
Our client is a leading Australian consumer orientated business, home to a portfolio of iconic brands with a national presence and a strong growth trajectory underpinned by an entrepreneurial spirit. They’ve built their success on quality, innovation, and customer connection, continuing to evolve through investment in people, technology, and brand experience.
The role
As Group Financial Controller, you’ll be the key strategic and operational partner to the CFO — a trusted leader with influence that reaches across the business. You’ll lead a highly capable finance team responsible for financial control, governance, and reporting, while also shaping the effectiveness of major business programs and transformation initiatives. This is a role for a leader who thrives on challenge, connection, and continuous improvement — someone who can manage the detail while lifting the lens to see the bigger picture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the group’s financial accounting, control, and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Partner with the CFO and executive team to drive financial effectiveness across strategic programs and business transformation initiatives.
- Strengthen governance frameworks and financial control systems to support scalability and performance.
- Oversee month‑end and year‑end consolidation, audit readiness, and statutory compliance.
- Collaborate with FP&A and business leaders to improve forecasting, budgeting, and commercial decision‑making.
- Develop and coach a high‑performing finance team — building capability, accountability, and engagement.
What you’ll bring
- A strong technical foundation (CA/CPA) paired with commercial and strategic agility.
- Proven experience leading finance teams in complex, multi‑brand or consumer environments.
- The ability to influence, engage, and communicate effectively with executives, peers, and operational leaders.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a drive to improve systems, processes, and outcomes.
- Leadership presence — confident, credible, and collaborative, with the ability to bring people together and lift performance.
What’s in it for you
This is a career‑defining opportunity to step into a visible leadership role within a fast‑paced, values‑led organisation. You’ll work alongside a high‑performing CFO, play a central role in shaping how finance drives strategy and growth, and contribute directly to the success of some of Australia’s most recognised consumer brands. For the right leader, there’s a clear pathway to broader executive accountability, expanding your influence and commercial capability as the business continues to evolve. A competitive remuneration package, coupled with a range of company benefits, underpins the opportunity — recognising both the impact and calibre expected in this role.
