Job Description

Reporting to the Director Strategy & Enablement, the Senior Manager IT Planning coordinates technical feasibility activities, business case guidance and creation in line with business requirements, and drives continuous improvement in planning within the TS division. The role owns and drives demand and portfolio management to enable forward planning, resource allocation and delivery of strategic initiatives.

Key focus areas:

- Business case development and support – Feasibility, costing and technical feasibility & solution coordination with technical solution teams.

- Planning and resource allocation – Update high‑level planning for changes in TS pipelines, resources and progress to improve resource utilisation.

- Relationship management – Develop and maintain productive partnerships with business area stakeholders and TS service providers and provide guidance to translate business requirements into technology needs.

- Strategy – Shape and manage strategy by participating in the development of strategic and operational plans to meet corporate objectives.

Mandatory/Special Role Requirements

- Police clearance.

- Potential after‑hours work.

- Experience managing organisational initiatives in a technical project environment.

- Knowledge of project management methodologies, principles and frameworks and facilitating change in a technical ICT environment.

- High‑level analytical, conceptual, planning and problem‑solving skills.

- High‑level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation and liaison.

- Experience developing and managing relationships with internal and external customers, partners and stakeholders across various levels.

Essential Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated high‑level experience in managing organisational initiatives through a technical project environment.

- Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks and facilitating change in a technical ICT environment.

- Demonstrated high‑level analytical, conceptual, planning and problem‑solving skills.

- High‑level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including negotiation, facilitation and liaison.

- Demonstrated experience building trust across various levels with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
