The Child and Youth Mental Health Service is seeking a qualified Allied Health Practitioner (528049d) based in the Hobart.

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (528049) and one position will be filled on merit.

We are seeking an Allied Health Professional with experience delivering evidence-based therapies and assessment within mental health or relevant/related sector. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their support systems.

Our Aim:

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing We are seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to deliver therapeutic services in partnership with young people experiencing mental health concerns.

The Allied Health Practitioner will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment and delivering high-level clinical care.

The role will include:

- Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people aged 16-24 who are experiencing mental health issues.
- Undertaking clinical services through the provision of assessment, individual therapies, and potentially group programs.
- Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to refine new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
- Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.

You will need to:

- Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
- Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full time, day workerposition, working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $110,425- $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance withAllied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- Current Working with Children Registration
