The Child and Youth Mental Health Service is seeking a qualified Allied Health Practitioner based in Hobart. This position is also advertised as Clinical Nurse Specialist and one position will be filled on merit.

We are seeking an Allied Health Professional with experience delivering evidence-based therapies and assessment within mental health or related sectors. You would work within a well-supported, innovative, multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their support systems.
Our Aim:
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing. We are seeking passionate clinicians to deliver therapeutic services in partnership with young people experiencing mental health concerns.
The Allied Health Practitioner will have a passion for a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-level clinical care.
Responsibilities- Being part of a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people aged 16-24 who are experiencing mental health issues.
- Undertaking clinical services through the provision of assessment, individual therapies, and potentially group programs.
- Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to refine new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
- Providing support and consultation to other team members as required within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
You will need to:
- Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
- Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full time, day worker, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 - $121,907 per annum. Employer superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.

EligibilitySuccessful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional qualification/program and registration with the relevant National Board, or full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association for self-regulated allied health professions.
- Current Working with Children Registration.

Desirable criteria
- Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in an area relevant to the role.
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
- Current Driver's Licence.
