Are you highly organised and thrive in a dynamic environment where your coordination skills keep vital services running smoothly? At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are seeking a dedicated Rostering Officer to join our Medical Workforce and Education Unit (MWEU).

About the Opportunity

As a Rostering Officer, you will play an essential role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of clinical services across CCLHD. This position is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and management of rosters for Junior Medical Officers (JMOs), ensuring compliance with relevant Awards, Policy Directives, and rostering standards.

Your work will directly support the Medical Workforce and Education Unit by maintaining accurate workforce data, ensuring adequate medical coverage, and providing high-quality administrative support to medical staff and managers.

In this role you will:

- Prepare, coordinate, and distribute JMO rosters in line with Award and policy requirements.

- Manage leave requests, ADOs, and roster changes across the District—including Gosford, Wyong, Long Jetty, and Woy Woy hospitals.

- Coordinate the credentialing and onboarding requirements for locum medical officers and ensure all pre‑employment checks are complete.

- Maintain accurate workforce databases and records, producing reports as required.

- Provide responsive, customer‑focused support and advice to medical staff and managers on all rostering and workforce matters.

We are looking for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting the healthcare workforce. You will have:

- Proven experience in administrative management or rostering, ideally within a healthcare or complex workforce environment.

- Understanding of relevant Medical Awards, Policy Directives, and rostering compliance requirements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across multiple teams and facilities.

- A commitment to teamwork, accountability, and customer‑focused service delivery.

- Demonstrated high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines, supported by strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce management systems.

Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.

Work‑Life Balance: Enjoy an accrued day off each month, 17.5% annual leave loading, and paid parental leave.
